12 Hours to go - Another Stretch Goal!
over 4 years ago – Fri, Oct 04, 2019 at 07:59:55 AM

Wow! I go to sleep and everyone starts pledging!

This is amazing, everyone! We've unlocked the 2-Up Voidspawn - a model that we didn't even know we were making until yesterday afternoon!

As always, if you want to add the 2-Up Voidspawn to your pledge, simply edit your pledge level and add £50. You'll be able to specify what you want after the campaign ends.

And you know what that means! We're now really close to unlocking our next Stretch Goal!

If we reach £17,500 we'll make a scale model of the Dimensional Horror! I'm not sure on what scale since this thing is absolutely massive, but we'll see!

Keep on spreading the word, the finish line is in sight! :D :D :D

Day 7 - VOIDSPAWN! 3 New Stretch Goals & Automated Dreadnought Dropfleet Rules
over 4 years ago – Thu, Oct 03, 2019 at 02:42:39 PM

Hello everyone! I got a ping earlier, and this popped up:

Hooray! That lovely green indicates that the Voidspawn is now available!

If you'd like to pick up a resin Voidspawn, simply add £18 to your pledge, and select the Voidspawn as an Add-On once the campaign is over. :D

This is one of my personal favourite Leviathans, so I'm looking forward to seeing the miniature getting made! This is early stages, and we haven't got a model to show off unfortunately, but it will be the same scale and similar size to the Drake, although very different looking with all those wings and some fur too!

New Stretch Goals!

Of course that means new Stretch Goals, and we have THREE to show off as round on the final 24 hours of the campaign. These are all the Stretch Goals we have planned, so if we reach them, you've all pushed way past our expectations. Thank you again to everyone for pledging!

So our next Stretch Goal is a 2-Up Voidspawn (yes plz), and then we'll unlock the incredible Dimensional Horror! I would LOVE to see this monster in miniature, so let's all push on for the last day and make it happen!

Automated Dreadnought DFC Scenario

Scott has been merrily working away (Stellaris and Dropfleet together? I think he'd do this forever!) on a new scenario for the Automated Dreadnought in Dropfleet Commander. Simply click the picture and have a look!

Day 5 - 2-Up Dread & New Stretch Goal!
over 4 years ago – Thu, Oct 03, 2019 at 03:26:10 AM

Hello everyone! Another day and another...

Woohoo! I was just writing this update when I saw we've gone over our target for the 10k Stretch Goal!

That means that the 2-Up Automated Dreadnought is now available as an Add-On.

This massive model will be quite the show piece on your shelves! We got a little impatient, and set one of these big bois to print - it's currently getting 3D printed and cleaned, so hopefully by tomorrow we'll be able to see just how big it is!

Of course though, unlocking one thing means another Stretch Goal is now on our radar!

The next Stretch Goal is none other than the Voidspawn - we found it! Well, we might if we get up to £12,500. With your help we can make a miniature of this awesome Leviathan!

Automated Dreadnought

But enough about the Voidspawn, this is the Automated Dread's time to shine!

We've got a few more angles of the render, and a spin around of it too. Take a look, and if you fancy, add one (or a 2-Up one) to your pledge!

It's really covered in detail, with panel lines over every inch. That gives plenty of recesses for washing and drybrushing, and loads of flat panels for getting some cool effects and even freehand if you're feeling brave enough.

Until tomorrow everyone, take care! And don't forget to share the campaign with everyone you know. The further we go, the more cool Leviathans we'll unlock!

Day 6 - Dropfleet Commander Rules
over 4 years ago – Thu, Oct 03, 2019 at 01:26:12 AM

Good afternoon (or whatever time you're in) everyone! We've got a few very cool things today. Let's get into it!

Stretch Goals & Add-Ons

No new Stretch Goals unlocked yet today, but we're nearing the Voidspawn unlock. This will be a whole new miniature to sit alongside the Ether Drake and the Automated Dreadnought.

Speaking of which, we've had a few people asking about purchasing Add-Ons. If you'd like to pick up an Automated Dreadnought, simply add the amount to your pledge (£18 or £50 depending on the size you want). Everything else will be calculated in the post-campaign pledge manager.

Dropfleet Commander Rules

That's right! It's something a lot of people have been asking for, so we made some! This is a first pass, but will allow you to play an Ether Drake in a special scenario for Dropfleet Commander.

It's a tough ol' beast that can rip through a Cruiser in one go!

The 2-Up Dreadnought!

The 2-Up version of the Dreadnought got moulded yesterday, and the first one is out. Jay kindly put it together for us. This is just a prototype at the moment, but I think you'll agree that it looks awesome!

The amount of detail on it is insane, and what you'd expect if you've ever put together one of David Lewis' ships before. The man knows how to detail.

There will likely be a few tweaks to the kit before we send it out, in order to make it easier to build and guarantee the best quality cast, but it's pretty close to done already. The 2-Up version even has separate turrets that can be positioned however you want!

Sizing of the Drake

We got asked for some measurements of the miniatures, so I popped over to the photo booth after Neil was done with the pictures above and snapped a couple of them with a ruler so you can see just how big they are.

And as I was over there I could resist picking up the Dreadnought either - this thing is MASSIVE!

I can neither confirm nor deny that I then flew it round the office going "whooooosh!"

There we have it! Until tomorrow everyone, keep sharing around and let's make that Voidspawn a reality!
